“Returning you back to work, and to your favorite activities, with minimal down time and rapid recovery is the goal at Invictus Healthcare.”
L. Keith Simmons, DO received his undergraduate training at the Oklahoma State University and his medical degree from OSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989. He is certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Dr. Simmons conducts Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) testing for Invictus Healthcare. These tests are designed to identify and assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them (motor neurons). The EMG measures muscle response or electrical activity in response to a nerve’s stimulation of the muscle. The EMG is often necessary to help diagnose or rule out a number of conditions when a patient has signs or symptoms that may indicate a nerve or muscle disorder. Such symptoms may include: tingling, numbness, muscle weakness, muscle pain or cramping, or certain types of limb pain.
An EMG translates signals into graphs, sounds or numerical values that a specialist interprets. EMG results can reveal nerve dysfunction, muscle dysfunction or problems with nerve-to-muscle signal transmission.
Dr. Simmons has special interests in Neuroradiology and Neurosonology. He is also a member with American Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Simmons provides exceptional care through these services:
- Electromyography (EMG) Testing
